Cheri L. R. Taylor received her MFA in Writing from Vermont College January of 2005 and is currently working as a Writer in Residence with the Inside Out Literary Arts Project conducting poetry workshops in the Detroit public schools. She has four chapbooks of poetry and has been published in Rattle, Awakenings Review, The Café Review, Reintigration Today, Clean Sheets, Current Magazine, Ellipsis, Third Wednesday and others.
Her latest chapbook Wolf Maiden Moon a tale in thirteen poems was just released from Pudding House Press.
She is the recepient of the 2006 Farbman Walloon Writer's Retreat Scholarship for a Meritorious Teacher of Writing and a 2007 RARE Foundation Every Day Heroes Award winner for her work with healing and cathartic potential in the writing community.
Cheri has presented poetry workshops for The Washtenaw County Intermediate School District, University of Detroit Mercy College, and The Vermont College Masters of Fine Arts in Writing program, Oakwood Hospitals and is founder of the Projection of Soul Poetry Workshop Program for Holy Cross Children’s Services (Boysville) in Clinton Twp. Michigan.
